The International Congress RUNES/AFIRSE 2026 aims to bring together the scientific, political, social, and economic stakeholders of our communities to create new momentum for francophone research in Education.

Through a holistic approach, researchers, teachers, experts, policymakers, social partners, and administrators will share their expertise and practices. This Congress will foster knowledge exchange to generate actionable proposals and redefine the foundations of the New Scientific Contract for Education.

From the outset, we intended this event to be co-constructed—led by members of UNESCO, the international association RUNES, and AFIRSE—yet open to all educational stakeholders in their political, social, cultural, and economic dimensions.

The Congress will take place at several venues, notably in Champs-sur-Marne and in Paris for the UNESCO day. It will be multilingual, international, and accessible through various formats (in-person and hybrid) to ensure broad and inclusive representation of global educational issues.
